We Are Here, Too
I worked with person-centred therapist, Francesca Lo Verso, to design and produce the cover for her mental health podcast. This podcast offers short insights into the experiences and emotions of living away from home.
Zines for research
Recently, I have become interested in the use of zines for the communication of research findings, as well as a research methodology. Two colleagues and I, at the University of Edinburgh, have received a small grant to explore what 'place' means for communities through the creation of a zine. More on this soon!
Calendar
A recent project has been to design six illustrations to create a seasonal eating calendar. I hope to be able to include these in my shop soon!
Illustrated Recipe Book
I designed and wrote this custom recipe book as a private commission for a close friend. The idea behind this book was to offer some basic notions on flavours, spices, herbs and food pairings that the person liked. The remaining of the book was left blank so that they could add their own recipes as they continued on their cooking journey.
Character Design
I worked with Edinburgh-based musician, Gaze is Ghost, to develop a series of sketches that would inform the development of the characters in a musical by Gaze is Ghost.
Manin and Valerio's Wedding
I was very honoured to work with Manin and Valerio to design the illustration for their wedding booklet. Manin is from Hong Kong, and Valerio from Sicily and they requested an illustration of the traditional flowers from each place.
Stand by Me Research Project
This research wanted to find out how relationships between people with a learning disability are supported when one partner has a diagnosis of dementia. In this project, I worked with researchers at the University of Stirling to design a series of illustrations that would act as a visual aid for the qualitative interviews used in this study.
Private commission
The client is a big fan of John Coltrane and asked me to design a custom poster for their new home.
